Besiktas invite Chelsea to inaugural game at new stadium

Beşiktaş have reached an agreement to play their inaugural game at the Vodafone Arena against Chelsea according to Fanatik.

The Black Eagles were reported to have reached an agreement Chelsea to co-operate between the first teams, academies, training support and joint scouting projects earlier in the season.

Chelsea also took part in a charity fundraiser tournament with Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe in the summer for the Soma mining disaster fund.

The İnonü stadium is currently being rebuilt, the new Vodafone arena will be a state of the art, 41,903 seater stadium.

Beşiktaş recently signed a $145 million deal with Vodafone which included shirt sponsorship as well as the stadium naming rights.

The Black Eagles signed a stadium deal encompassing advertising, stadium naming rights and stadium technology infrastructure investment rights for 10+5 years worth $116 million.

The İnonü will be renamed as the Vodafone Arena when it is completed.

Newcastle set to announce two Celtic friendlies

Reports Newcastle are planning two friendlies against Celtic in Dublin and Boston, according to reports from Glasgow.

Newcastle United are set to play Celtic in two friendly matches this summer according to reports this morning. The two matches will be played in Dublin and Boston according to the claims from Glasgow. The match in Boston at Fenway Park is said to be due to be confirmed later this week, while the Dublin date will come later. Recent reports have said that America was the preferred destination of Newcastle United this summer. A match against Celtic in Boston would obviously be a bigger occasion than the previous relatively low key matches played by United in the States. Though I think the Newcastle supporters might be 'slightly' outnumbered in a city that is a Celtic hotbed. The reports say Celtic will spend a week doing intensive training in Boston and Newcastle United are being lined up as decent quality opposition to help them prepare for their Champions League qualifiers.

Vind ik ook. Verder staat op realtotal.de te lezen dat tussen 4 en 7 augustus de Audi Cup in München gehouden wordt. Dit toernooi is het huistoernooi van Bayern München en voor dit jaar zouden de thuisclub en Real Madrid al vast staan als deelnemers. Daar moeten nog twee deelnemers bijkomen. Een bevestiging is er nog niet.

Besiktas could travel to China or Japan for summer tour

Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman has revealed that the club have had offers to setup summer camp in China and Japan.

"Beşiktaş are a global brand, I vowed to make us a club over which the sun never sets, these offers show that," Orman was quoted as saying on Eurosport TR.

The venture would be the first of its kind carried out by a Süper Lig side.

Orman has been working on increasing the Black Eagles brand and has struck lucrative advertising deals with Vodafone and Adidas.

Galatasaray have also been linked with a tour of Far-East Asia after striking deals with Japanese firm Nikon and Chinese company Huawei.

The Lions have also became the first Turkish side to setup a Japanese language and twitter page.

Beşiktaş will also be planning to unveil the new Vodafone Arena stadium.

The Eagles have been forced to play at the Atatürk Olympic stadium due to the İnonü stadium is currently being rebuilt.

The new Vodafone arena will be a state of the art, 41,903 seater stadium.

Meer info over de Telecomcup in Mönchengladbach: FC Augsburg is als vierde deelnemer toegevoegd. Het gaat om vier wedstrijden die 45 minuten duren. Het speelplan is:

Jammer dat ze weer voor Gladbach als locatie hebben gekozen. Had liever gezien dat ze de organisatie iets meer zouden rouleren over andere deelnemers.

Dat kan natuurlijk ook. Maar aangezien het toernooi 2 dagen op rij een vol stadion (en dus inkomsten) betekend zou ik dat erg vreemd vinden.

Vorig seizoen was het toernooi in Hamburg. Stadion zat niet vol en een kaartje was maar 12 euro voor 2 wedstrijden.

Volgens mij krijgen de deelnemers een vast startbedrag dat veel hoger is dan alle recettes bij elkaar en krijgt de sponsor de recettes dus voor de deelnemers maakt het financieel gezien niet uit waar ze spelen alleen misschien voor de horeca inkomsten als ze deze ruimtes niet verpacht hebben en de merchandising
