De ZDF heeft er twee leuke filmpjes aan gewijd, te vinden onder de volgende link:

De resultaten van de stemming over het pick the team-systeem heb ik overgenomen van een forum(niet van MyFC zelf).
Here are the results for the poll on team selection. A total of 9,708 members were polled. I hope that everyone agrees it was extremely important to get the membership’s view on ‘pick the team’. The results are certain to spark debate and will help us develop a process that reflects everyone’s wishes in time for pre-season. After the results, there is a brief description on the process that had been agreed by the Web Team and the coaching staff.
I want to pick the team and I’d like the manager to have some flexibility to make changes to the members’ selection: 31.3% (3043 votes)
I want to pick the team and I’d like the manager to consider, but not necessarily follow, the members’ selection: 28.6% (2778 votes)
I am not interested in picking the team: 25.8% (2508 votes)
I want to pick the team but I don’t want the manager to make any changes to the members’ selection: 11.8% (1144 votes)
I abstain: 2.4% (235 votes)
In terms of the team selection process, nothing is set in stone. And in light of the above results, the following process may or may not need to be amended. Assuming a typical ‘match-Saturday match-Saturday week’:
- Monday to Thursday, feedback on the previous match, information on upcoming opposition and news from the training ground.
- On Friday after training, a squad of 16 (perhaps more if players are injury doubts) are presented to members.
- Members select an 11 and formation. The remaining 5 go on the bench.
- Coaching staff are given the 11 and formation on Saturday morning (this is not made public before the match)
- If changes are made to this eleven due to tactics (specific information on the opposition often arrives a few hours before the game) or EUFC player fitness, the reasons for these changes will be communicated.
An important thing to note is that the opposition would find out the starting eleven at 14:15, the same as usual, therefore nothing confidential is given away. And the reason for selecting from a 16 is that only the coaching staff can truly know how players have trained in the week, and which players are ‘match ready’.
